HCMC construction companies to be inspected for safety compliance

(thanhniennews.com) Ho Chi Minh City will soon begin inspections to assess whether construction companies are complying with current health and safety regulations – primarily for projects involving bridge construction.

The inspections will be carried out at three different project sites: Thu Thiem Bridge, Nguyen Van Cu Bridge and Phu My Bridge.

The purpose of the check-ups are to ensure that the investors of the three projects are following all safety rules, and have insurance for all their workers.

Sở Giao thông – Công chính (GTCC) TP.HCM ngày 20.10 cho biết, Thanh tra Sở GTCC vừa quyết định kiểm tra việc chấp hành các quy định về đảm bảo an toàn trong thi công xây dựng công trình; việc thực hiện các nghĩa vụ của nhà thầu thi công để đảm bảo an toàn cho người lao động và mua các loại bảo hiểm theo quy định của pháp luật tại ba công trình đang thi công là: cầu Thủ Thiêm, cầu Nguyễn Văn Cừ và cầu Phú Mỹ.
